1、be used to do“被用來做……”

　　Wood is often used to make desks and chairs.木頭常常被用來制作桌椅。

　　Computers can be used to do a lot of work now.如今電腦可用來做許多事。

　　2、be used to doing“習慣于……”

　　I am used to cleaning the room.我習慣于打掃房間

　　You are used to playing game.我習慣玩游戲

　　She is not used to eating Chinese food.她不習慣吃中餐。

　　3、used to“過去常常”

　　經常與be used to do進行辨析，表示過去的習慣性動作，過去如此，現在不再這樣了，譯為“過去常常”。例如：

　　He used to play basketball when he was young.他年輕的時候常常打籃球。

　　There used to be an apple tree here.過去這兒曾經有棵蘋果樹。

　　He used to get up early.過去他經常早起。
