同義詞辨析

　　persist，last，continue這些動詞均含有“持續”之意。

　　1、persist強調超過了指定的或正常的時間。

　　This problem persisted for much of the decade.

　　該問題在那10年的大部分時間里一直存在。

　　2、last著重存在的時間相當長，超過正常的或所期望的時間。

　　The cold weather lasted for the whole month of February.

　　寒冷的天氣持續了整個2月。

　　3、continue多指過程，強調持續而無終止，常含不間斷之意。

　　Home prices continued to fall during April.

　　房價在4月份繼續下跌。
