　　此歌曲是包美圣同村好友侯德健(兒時兩人雖在同一所幼稚園上學，但相互并不認識)所創作的第一首歌曲，侯德健從沒受過任何正統音樂教育，稀里糊涂不費吹灰之力就寫出了這首歌。第一版“小牛的哥哥”本來是“小毛的哥哥”，臺灣當局送審沒通過，于是隨便改成了“小牛的哥哥”稀里糊涂就通過了。這首歌童趣盎然，是侯德健為數不多的鄉土民謠風格的作品
