Lesson 60 ( The fourth period )
一、Teaching aims and demands.
本課是復(fù)習(xí)課。通過“對話”學(xué)習(xí)，鞏固已學(xué)過的有關(guān)“做客”，“邀請”等常見常用句型；了解英美人的飲食習(xí)慣；復(fù)習(xí)、鞏固有關(guān)飲食的詞匯和使用句型。通過課文第4部分“寫”的訓(xùn)練，逐步培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的寫作能力。

Have a dictation.
Fish and chips, and Chinese take-away food are very popular in England. But they are less popular in the USA. In the USA, they eat take-away food, too, like fried chicken. But the most popular kind of take-away food is the hamburger. It looks like bread with meat in it. Hamburgers are delicious tastes and is usually very delicious. It is also very popular in the world.

Listen to the tape for Lesson 60 then read after it aloud.
2． Drills.
Ask some students to read and act “Part 1”.
Ask some students to read and act “Part 3”.
3．Language points. （用幻燈顯示）
1）With sugar and milk? 加點糖和牛奶好嗎？
I like Chinese tea without anything in it.
我喜歡中國清茶，什么配料都不加。
（1）關(guān)于英國人和中國人的不同喝茶習(xí)慣，見課文注解。
（2）第一句中的介詞with與第二句中的介詞without都表示“伴隨”，作謂語動詞的“伴隨”狀語。
without,意為“無”，“沒有”。又如：
Fish can’t live without water. 魚兒離不開水。
People can’t live without air. 人類離不開空氣。
2）Come and take a seat. 進來，請坐。
句中take a seat可用sit down替換。
3）Today we’re going to have something English.
今天我們要吃點英式菜點。
Would you like anything else? 你還想要點其他的吧？
句中English、else都是形容詞，作定語修飾不定代詞something、anything（nothing、everything等）。又如：
There is something wrong with the watch. 這架手表有點毛病。
4）It’s my favourite… 它是我最喜歡的……
be one’s favourite 意為“……是某人最喜歡的”。又如：
Mike is my favourite. 牛奶是我最喜歡喝的。
5）This is home cooking! 這是（在）家燒的飯菜！
home cooking指飯菜的家常做法，與文中take-away相對而言。
6）It must be more delicious. 它一定更好吃。
must在這里表示推測、判斷，但表示有很大的可能性。又如：
Who is knocking at the door? It must be my mother.
誰在敲門？一定是我母親。
7）I’m happy you like it. 我很高興你能喜歡它（這些菜）。
句中you like it是一個句子，前面省略了一個引導(dǎo)詞that。
8）A table for two? 兩人一桌？
9）Can we sit at the table by the window? 我們可否坐在靠窗的那張桌子？
by在句中意為“靠近”“在……旁”。又如：
Come and sit by me. 過來坐在我的旁邊。
10）May I take your order now? 可以點菜了嗎？
11）Could we have the bill? 我們可以要帳單嗎？
12）China is very famous for its food in the world.
中國以它的美味的菜肴聞名于世。
be famous for意為“因……而有句的”，“由……而著稱”。又如：
Fuzhou is famous for its hot springs. 福州以其溫泉而馳名。
Hangzhou West Lake is famous for its beautiful scenery in the world.
杭州西湖以其美景而馳名于世。
13）In Europe, people eat a bag of grapes for good luck in the new year.
意為“新年，歐洲人吃一包的葡萄來祈求來年的好運。”
