Aims:1.match the vocabulary:sales assistant, doctor, actor, reporter, police officer, waiter, bank clerk, student.

2.Master and use: What do you do? What does he do? Does he work in hospital?

Key points:1.the vocabulary

2.language:What does she do?She is a doctor.

What does she want to be?He wants to be an actor.

Difficult point:Use the language to ask for the jobs.

Teaching Procedures:

Step 1 Greeting

Step 2 Review

1. Duty report

2. Review something learned

Step 3 Presentation

1. Ask students to look at the pictures and remember what they can see.

2. Find four guoups to say the words that they remember.

3. Talk about the picture ,then make a dialogue.such as:What is this? It`s a store. What can you see?I can see a sweater. What color is it? It`s green. How much is it? It`s 50 dollars.

4. Ask students: What is your father?

Help them answer: He is a worker.(Tell them another way of saying:What does your father do?)

5. Present the jobs and asd them to try to read according to the phonetic symbols.

6. Correct their pronuciation and read together.

7. Listen to the tape and number the people in the picture above. Listen carefully three times. Point out the picture in activity 2a. Ask who each person is , say, now work with your partner.Ask and answer questions about the pictures.

Step 4 Practice

Say, now , practice the things we have learned.

They can talk about the jobs. Such as: What do you do? I am a student.

What does your father do? He is a farmer.

Step 5 Act out

Let each student come to the front to act out what they have learnde. Let them feel succesful.

Step 6 Summary

Ask one or two students to summarize

Step 7 See who is the best in this class.

Practice the dialogue according to the picture on Page 1.
