Teaching Aims:

1. Help students grasp words related to sports.

2. Make students know how to express the sports.

Teaching important and difficult points:

Make students know the words related to sports.

Make students to fill in the blanks and do a dialogue by using some sports words.

Teaching Methods:

task-based in-class activities; competition ; Dialogue; Game

Teaching Aids: A multimedia classroom;

Teaching Procedures:

StepⅠ Lead-in.

1.Make students know the teacher’s hobby : yoga

2.Get students to answer the following questions:

What kind of sports do you like ?

StepⅡ Brainstorming

Show students some pictures and ask them to guess the sports name of each picture.

Step Ⅲ Blank-filling

1.Task One: translate Chinese into English (individual work )

2.Task Two: translate English into Chinese (group work )

Step Ⅳ Memory test (competition)

1. Ask students to remember the words learned
